Our entry into BAÏJA’s capital at the end of 2023 had a dual objective: to accelerate the company’s growth and to finance external growth operations. Here is Baija’s first build-up with the acquisition of the nailmatic brand, a specialist in bio-based nail polishes and beauty products for children (colored bath bombs, temporary tattoo markers, etc…).

On the product side, the brands share the same values: sensoriality, naturalness and accessibility, around responsible and innovative “Happy cosmetics” concepts.

On the distribution side, the networks are highly complementary, and Nailmatic will benefit from Baïja’s strong presence in beauty salons, as well as its other distribution channels (selective retail chains, export, etc…).

“Our intention is for each brand to retain its own identity. Nailmatic has a story that deserves to be told and continued. It’s crucial to us that it retains its own brand image and visual identity, just like Baïja. We’re delighted that Nailmatic is staying in France,” says Fabrice Saïd, co-founder of Baija.

“Nailmatic has always been a bold brand, inventing playful cosmetics with creativity and commitment. Seeing this adventure continue alongside Baija is a great opportunity to continue innovating, while remaining true to the joyful, responsible DNA that makes us unique,” adds Clémence Huignard, former Nailmatic director.
